Handing Precaution

Do not disassemble the battery, otherwise its acid electrolyte may burn skin and clothes.

Do not short the battery, otherwise it may burn out the connectors and damage equipment.

Do not incinerate. All batteries may burst if thrown into the fire.

Please wipe the battery with dry cloth, if necessary, use water dampened cloth. Never use oil, gasoline, thinner or other petrochemicals.

If the battery is used in a totally sealed case or container, it could fill with the gases generated during overcharging. In the worst, the container may explode because the internal pressure might exceed the strength limition of the container or from an ignition of hydrogen gas when there is an internal flame spark.

If the battery is accidentally broken and electrolyte leaks out, immediately wipe it up with a cloth, neutralize the acid with some available alkaline substance such as ammonium solution, baking powder (sodium hydrogen carbonate). If electrolyte contacts skin, immediately flush with water and consult a doctor.
